The final of the national youth navigation model education competition was recently held in Hailing district of Taizhou, Jiangsu province, with 43 representative teams, 571 coaches and 2,225 athletes from across the country participating.
Founded in 1994, the national-level competition has integrated national defense education with modern technology, aiming to enhance the scientific literacy and practical abilities of young people.
The competition was held across three main venues, featuring events such as nautical model making, ship model self-navigation and remote control, water football, innovative project showcases, large water simulation navigation, remote control sailing, and more.
Hailing district has launched four study tour routes with distinctive local cultural features, allowing athletes and their parents to explore the rich historical heritage of the millennium-old area.
The organizers also provided discounts on hotels, early morning tea, and cultural and creative products for athletes and their parents to boost consumption.
