A butterfly exhibition kicked off on the ground floor of the Taizhou Museum, located in Taizhou city of East China's Jiangsu province, on July 26.
Lasting to Sept 6, the exhibition highlights the biological characteristics of butterflies, over 380 world-renowned butterfly specimens from around the world, and intangible cultural heritage art work inspired by butterflies.
The exhibition is regarded as the first activity of Natural Science Popularization Week at the Taizhou Museum. Later, a range of activities such as insect culture lectures and butterfly paper cuttings will also be held.
According to the Taizhou Museum, these activities are being held to help teenagers expand their scientific knowledge while also allowing them to get closer to nature.
