Wufu (Five Fortune) Culture Hall, situated in Huangqiao town, Taixing, a county-level city administered by Taizhou, Jiangsu province, embodies the essence of Taizhou's ancient architecture from the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911) and the Republic of China era (1911-49). Spanning more than 2,000 square meters of space, this cultural hall derives its name, "Wufu", from the five blessings of longevity, auspiciousness, health, virtue and a happy ending.

Six old houses with 24 rooms are arranged in a staggered manner, each with its own unique story of time. For instance, on the right is the mansion of Jin Shi, a famous figure from Taixing in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), elegant and dignified.
Twenty years ago, Wu Jianming, founder of the culture hall, worked with professionals to carefully dismantle the beams and tiles of ancient buildings in various demolition areas of Taizhou. Each component was wrapped in oil paper and stored in a site of over a thousand square meters in Huangqiao.
It was not until 2019 that these scattered fragments were reassembled and restored to the current culture hall.
The culture hall is open free of charge all year round. Wu hopes that every visitor can understand the aesthetic taste and life wisdom of ancient people from every brick, tile, carving and decoration, and learn about the cultural code of ancient architecture in Taizhou.
