The 2025 Jiangsu Football City League, comprising 13 teams competing in the wealthy East China province of Jiangsu, has become the most talked about sporting event in the country this summer.
Soccer fans commonly refer to Taizhou as "Shuizhou" or the city of water, where the Yangtze River, the Huai River and the Yellow Sea converge, with many natural places thereabouts to enjoy the water scene.
The Qinhu National Wetland Park in Jiangyan district of Taizhou, has a large area of lakes, swamps and abundant flora and fauna.

The hundred-mile river embankment is a beautiful scenic belt in Jingjiang city, administered by Taizhou. Visitors are always enchanted by the infinitely beautiful scenery of the Yangtze River when clambering up onto it.

Elsewhere, the Fengcheng River surrounds the old city of Taizhou and is one of the few remaining and most well-preserved thousand-year-old city riverscapes in China. Here, the trees and green plants on the riverbank are arranged in a staggered manner. Visitors can stroll along the river or go boating on the water, listen to the gentle opera that is often sung around there and feel the cultured ambience of the ancient city.
